Paris Gray End Tables

Picked these two pieces up at a yard sales last summer.  They are heavy, solid wood pieces.  To me they have that cottage and beach design.  I decided I wanted to do a beachy distressed finish on them.  Of course, I think they could work in a traditional design also.

I decided to first paint them each with this new paint I picked up C.C. Caldwell Chalk Paint in Vintage White.

I will say it is not one of my favorite paints.  It goes on thin, and usually takes several coats for coverage.  I decided to try this paint because the dealer is literally ten minutes from me.  But, I do like the Vintage White as an undercoat paint before applying my color which was Paris Gray (ASCP).  Then I lightly sanded, distressed, and I love the look of the finished pieces.  I did a clear wax finish.  I love how smooth the finish is.

I wish you could feel the finish...it feels like butter!

These would be great pieces in a family room, bedroom.

These beauties sold to go in a beach home! Perfect....
